ABOUT OBSERVED EFFECT
Popular Combat Sports Polls, Surveys, Quizzes, & Research
In psychology, the observed effect refers to the measurable change, behavior, or outcome detected in a study as a result of an independent variable or experimental manipulation.
Polls: These are designed to answer one specific question for a bird’s-eye-view of where relevant pollers land on the topic.
Surveys: Sometimes we want feedback on a broader range of questions. That’s where surveys come in.
Fun Quizzes: These aren’t really serious at all. We put these on the site to mix things up and make people smile 😊
OE Founder – Lex DeVille
Hi, I’m Lex, a psychology PhD student, Army Veteran, and Mixed Martial Artist who holds a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. My entire family trains, and we all compete a lot!
I created Observed Effect as a place to answer fun questions at the intersection of psychology and combat sports. Some of those can be answered with polls and surveys. Others are more complex.
If you’ve ever wanted to get to the bottom of questions like is Gi or NoGi better? or What do people think is the best martial art for self-defense? then you’ll like Observed Effect. The quizzes are mostly just for funsies, so don’t take those too seriously.
Beyond that, have fun!
